Volvo FH4/FM4 Roof Radio GPS GSM Antenna 22043209 22043205 21998239 Rear Euro 6

Description:
This listing is for a used genuine Volvo roof radio GPS GSM antenna removed from a late Volvo FH4/FM4 Euro 6 tractor unit. The antenna assembly combines FM/AM radio and telematics (GPS/GSM) functions in a single cab roof module and is designed to work with the factory multimedia and telematics systems. It features a shark-fin style plastic housing with a long whip mast and an integrated metal mounting plate that seals to the cab roof.

The original white cable label clearly shows part number 22043209, matching this listing. Closely related Volvo OE antenna references 22043205, 21998239, 22358317, 22472979 and 21399365 are listed in commercial Volvo antenna offers as compatible or supersession numbers for FH4/FM4 radio antennas, so this unit is suitable as a replacement where these numbers are specified.

The unit comes complete with three Fakra-style connectors on the attached wiring loom, supporting multi-band operation (FM radio plus GPS/GSM telematics). It mounts externally on the rear area of the cab roof using the existing fixing pattern and rubber gasket. No separate control unit is included – this is the antenna assembly only and is intended to plug into your existing Volvo multimedia/telematics wiring.

Before dismantling, the donor truck’s radio and telematics were checked and the antenna confirmed to be working. After removal, the part was visually inspected and the connectors checked for damage. Condition is graded B: fully functional with moderate cosmetic wear from normal service. The plastic housing and whip mast are intact, with light scuffs and weathering. The underside metal plate shows surface corrosion and remains of old sealant typical for a roof-mounted unit; it is recommended to clean the cab roof surface and apply fresh sealant or a new gasket during installation to ensure a good watertight seal.

Compatibility:
Based on OE references and commercial parts catalogues, this antenna fits Volvo FH4 and FM4 Euro 6 trucks from approximately 2013 onwards that use the combined roof radio/GPS/GSM module (Volvo antenna codes 22043205, 21998239, 22358317, 22472979, 21399365 and related numbers). Always compare your existing part number and connector style before purchase; if in doubt, consult your Volvo dealer with VIN to confirm.

Installation Notes:
Professional installation is recommended. Access to the inside of the cab roof trim is required to remove the old antenna and secure this replacement. Ensure all Fakra connectors are fully seated and routed without kinks. When refitting, clean off old sealant, inspect the gasket, and reseal to prevent water ingress into the cab and headlining. No coding or programming is normally required when simply replacing a like-for-like roof antenna on Volvo FH/FM trucks.
