Description:
This listing is for a used genuine Volvo air conditioning (A/C) refrigerant pressure sensor with wiring lead, OEM reference 21065047 (Volvo/Renault cross 742106507). The part consists of a screw-on pressure transducer for the high pressure side of the A/C circuit and an attached loom terminating in a 3-pin female connector with yellow secondary locking tab, exactly as shown in the photos. It is designed for 24V commercial vehicle HVAC systems.

The sensor is used on a wide range of Volvo heavy trucks, including FH12, FH13, FH16 and FM9/FM12/FM13 models around Euro 5 and early Euro 6, and on some Renault heavy trucks sharing the same platform. It monitors the high side refrigerant pressure in the A/C system and sends a signal to the climate control ECU to protect the compressor and optimise cooling performance. Our part was removed from a running Volvo FH truck and the A/C function was checked before dismantling; no DTCs were present and the compressor cycled correctly. After removal the sensor and loom were visually inspected for damage and cleaned. The metal housing shows normal corrosion from age but no cracks or leaks, and the connector housing and secondary lock are intact. The loom insulation is complete with no cuts or taped repairs. The original O-ring is still fitted but we advise installing a new seal and evacuating/recharging the A/C system to the manufacturer’s specification after replacement.

Installation should be carried out by a qualified technician, as the A/C system must be safely depressurised, leak-checked and re-gassed. In most cases no programming or coding is required when replacing this sensor on Volvo FH/FM trucks; it is a direct plug-and-play component, but always follow the official Volvo workshop manual procedures.
