VRA Truckparts is built for workshops, fleet operators and trade resellers who need reliable used OEM truck parts, consistent pricing and someone they can actually talk to when a truck is off the road.
Trade customers often focus on specific systems, such as Engines & Components, Suspension & Steering and Axles, Brakes & Brake Parts or Exterior, Body & Frame + Interior. Our Lorry/Truck Parts categories group stock in exactly this way, making it easy to build bulk orders or regular supply lists by system.
This page explains how we work with trade & wholesale buyers:
what we offer, how discounts work, and how to set up an ongoing relationship with us.
1. Who our trade programme is for
We work with a mix of retail and trade customers, just like most UK parts suppliers and motor factors.
Our trade / wholesale programme is aimed at:
- Independent truck and trailer workshops
- Fleet operators (own-account or contract fleets)
- Bodyshops & coachbuilders
- Truck dismantlers, dealers and parts resellers
If you buy regularly or in volume, or you run a fleet that can’t afford long downtime, we want to treat you as a long-term partner, not a one-off order.
2. Key benefits for trade & fleet customers
While exact arrangements depend on volume and profile, trade & fleet buyers can typically benefit from:
- Trade pricing & volume discounts – structured pricing below standard retail rates, with better terms for higher volumes or regular purchasing (a common model used by UK parts wholesalers and trade-focused suppliers).
- Priority handling – priority picking and dispatch wherever possible, similar to how fleet-focused programmes prioritise fleet work to reduce downtime.
- Dedicated contact – a named person who understands your vehicles, buying patterns and preferred couriers, mirroring the “dedicated account manager” approach used in many fleet and trade programmes.
- Flexible ordering – place orders directly via the website (with trade prices linked to your login), or by email/phone for more complex requests, multi-line orders or palletised shipments.
- Access to special & advance stock – early access to certain dismantling stock or “just in” vehicles where we know the parts match your fleet.
All of this is layered on top of our standard 30-day warranty and transparent grading system for used parts (see Warranty & Part Condition).
3. Trade pricing & discounts
We structure trade pricing to reward frequency and volume in a similar way to other trade-focused parts suppliers: bulk discounts, trade-only prices and sometimes special offers on key lines.
Typical elements can include:
- Base trade discount on standard retail prices once you are accepted as a trade customer;
- Volume-based discounts for larger orders, pallet shipments or regular monthly spend;
- Agreed fleet pricing for recurring part numbers across your core truck models (e.g. Volvo FH4, MAN TGX, DAF XF, Mercedes Actros), similar to “national fleet agreement” structures used by major truck parts programmes.
We do not publish a fixed discount table on the website, because:
- each workshop / fleet has a different pattern of usage;
- some parts are very common, others rare and highly priced;
- used OEM stock is limited and heavily condition-dependent.
Instead, once we understand your requirements, we can agree a tailored trade structure that makes sense for both sides.
4. Dedicated account support
For serious trade & fleet buyers we aim to offer a single point of contact, echoing the dedicated account manager model many fleet service and parts providers use.
Your account contact can help with:
- fast part identification – matching OEM numbers, checking compatibility, suggesting alternatives;
- stock checks & reservations – holding specific items while you confirm workshop authorisation;
- combined orders – grouping multiple parts for one vehicle or several vehicles into a single shipment to save on freight;
- shipping options – advising when Evri, DPD, DHL or pallet freight makes most sense for cost vs speed;
- paperwork – making sure invoices match your PO numbers and VAT requirements (see Payment & VAT).
For fleets, we can also keep basic fleet profiles (brands, models, Euro class, typical failure patterns) so we can proactively flag when we break donor vehicles that are highly relevant to your operation.
5. Special orders & sourcing
We know that some trucks run hard-to-find parts: specific cab trims, option packs, ECAS setups, radar sensors, etc.
For trade customers we can:
- Search our yard & off-site stock for unlisted items;
- Prioritise removal of parts from current donor vehicles when you signal urgent needs;
- Flag upcoming donors (for example: “Volvo FH4 2018 Euro 6 with full ACC, breaking next week”) so you can pre-reserve critical components;
- Where appropriate, co-operate with other breakers or suppliers to help you locate items we do not currently have, similar to how some wholesalers operate in partner networks.
Tell us what your fleet runs and which components you struggle to source – we will use that information to shape future purchasing and dismantling decisions.
6. Credit terms & invoicing (for approved trade accounts)
Many UK trade accounts in the automotive sector operate on invoiced credit terms (often up to 30 days from invoice date) for approved customers.
At VRA Truckparts we can:
- continue to accept card payments via Global Payments for immediate orders (website or phone);
- for approved trade accounts, discuss invoicing and limited credit terms subject to credit checks, trading history and order profile;
- provide itemised VAT invoices that meet UK requirements and are suitable for accounting and VAT reclaim for VAT-registered businesses.
Any credit facility will be:
- set up individually and confirmed in writing;
- subject to credit limits and standard payment terms;
- withdrawn or adjusted if payment terms are not adhered to.
If you prefer to stay strictly pre-paid, we can still flag your account as trade and apply agreed pricing without any credit risk on either side.
7. Returns, warranty & trade buyers
Trade and wholesale buyers benefit from the same base 30-day warranty on used parts described in our Warranty & Part Condition page and the procedures in Returns & Refunds.
However, as with most UK parts suppliers:
- trade purchases are business-to-business (B2B) transactions;
- some consumer-specific rights (like cooling-off periods and certain presumptions) do not apply in the same way to business customers;
- we expect trade buyers to have professional fitting and diagnosis in place;
- we cannot compensate labour, diagnostics, vehicle downtime or other indirect losses.
In case of a problem, we will always work with trade partners to find a fair, commercial solution – replacement where possible, or refund/credit in line with our policies and UK law.
8. How to set up a trade or fleet relationship
If you would like to be treated as a trade, workshop or fleet customer, the best next step is to send us a short introduction including:
- your company name, registered address and VAT number (if applicable);
- contact person for parts purchasing (name, phone, email);
- type of business – workshop, fleet, reseller, bodyshop, etc.;
- brands and models you mostly work with (e.g. Volvo FH4/FM4, MAN TGX/TGS, DAF XF106, Mercedes Actros);
- typical monthly or quarterly spend on used OEM parts;
- whether you are interested in credit terms or prefer pre-paid with trade discounts.
We will review this information and:
- confirm you as a trade customer and align your account with the agreed pricing;
- introduce you to your main contact;
- discuss any special sourcing needs or stock alerts that would help your workshop or fleet.
If you already have a specific fleet or workshop project in mind – for example, refresh of a group of trucks or a repeated failure you want to cover with stock – let us know. We can build a small sourcing plan together so that when we break the right donor vehicles, your operation is first in line for the parts it needs.
