Description:
Genuine Knorr-Bremse EBS trailer control valve / axle modulator for MAN heavy trucks. This unit is used on MAN TGS and TGX models as the main EBS 5 trailer control module, managing electronic brake pressure to the trailer via the compressed air system. The casting and label show Knorr-Bremse part numbers 81.52301-6213 and K020623, cross-referenced in MAN parts catalogues and specialist listings to MAN OE 81523016213 and related numbers 81523016212 / 16209 / 19213 etc.

The valve combines an electronic control unit with multiple pneumatic ports and is designed for 24V commercial vehicle systems. It is installed on the chassis near the rear, controlling trailer service brake pressure and integrating with the truck EBS/ABS and engine brake. Suitable for MAN TGS and TGX Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles from approximately 2005–2021, where these reference numbers are specified. Please compare the part numbers and connector/port layout with your original unit before purchase.

This item was removed from a complete, running vehicle and the EBS and trailer brake functions were checked prior to dismantling. The modulator has been visually inspected and externally cleaned, with no cracks in the housing and all threaded air ports and the main multi-pin electrical connector present and undamaged. As a used component it shows normal signs of service such as dirt, oxidation and paint wear, but this does not affect operation. No additional fittings, brackets or pipes are included – you will receive the bare valve unit exactly as shown in the photos.

Professional installation is strongly recommended. After fitting, the EBS system should be checked for leaks, and the unit should be coded/diagnosed with suitable MAN/Knorr diagnostic equipment where required. This is an original Knorr-Bremse / MAN part, not an aftermarket copy.
