Used Truck Clutch Pressure Plates

This category lists used OEM clutch pressure plates for modern European heavy trucks. Each pressure plate works together with the clutch disc and flywheel to transfer engine torque to the transmission & drivetrain, while allowing smooth gear changes and protecting gearbox and driveline components.

What kind of clutch pressure plates are in this category?

Here you will mainly find complete clutch pressure plate assemblies (clutch covers) removed from late-model HGVs, typically from brands such as Sachs, ZF, LuK and other OEM suppliers. These units are designed for heavy-duty truck applications and matched to the original clutch specification of the donor vehicle.

  • complete clutch pressure plate / clutch cover assemblies for HGV applications;
  • pressure plates matched to specific gearbox and flywheel types used on Volvo FH/FM, MAN TGX/TGS, DAF XF/XG, Scania R/S and Mercedes-Benz Actros/Atego trucks;
  • heavy-duty units suitable for long-distance haulage, construction and distribution vehicles.

Complete clutch kits that include friction discs and release bearings are listed separately in our Clutches category. This section is focused on clutch pressure plates themselves for workshops that only need to replace the cover assembly or source a matching OEM core.

Donor trucks & OEM compatibility

Most pressure plates in this category come from modern European heavy trucks such as Volvo FH and FM, MAN TGX and TGS, DAF XF and XG, Scania R and S series, and Mercedes-Benz Actros and Atego. We concentrate on late Euro 5–Euro 6 donor vehicles, so the parts listed here are aimed at current fleet trucks rather than obsolete models.

Each listing is created with clear photos of the actual clutch pressure plate, visible OEM / OE numbers on castings or labels, and where possible donor truck details (brand, model, year, Euro class, axle configuration and gearbox type). This makes it easier to match the pressure plate to your existing clutch and flywheel.

To see the trucks these parts come from, visit our Trucks We Dismantle page and browse current and past donor vehicles.

Dismantling & quality checks for clutch pressure plates

All components are removed in-house as part of the structured process described on our Dismantling & Quality Process page. Before a clutch pressure plate is added to stock, our team checks:

  • friction surfaces for excessive heat spotting, cracking or scoring;
  • diaphragm fingers / springs for uneven wear, cracks and deformation;
  • mounting holes and threaded points for damage or elongation;
  • any signs of oil contamination or obvious overheating from the donor vehicle.

Units that do not meet our standards are rejected or treated as cores instead of being supplied as ready-to-fit parts. For components sold with a core surcharge or where a used plate is intended mainly for rebuild, please refer to our Core Units & Surcharge information.

How to choose the right truck clutch pressure plate

To minimise downtime and avoid incorrect orders, we strongly recommend checking compatibility before buying. You can use your existing pressure plate as a reference and cross-check:

  • the OEM / OE part number stamped or printed on your current clutch cover;
  • the make and model of your truck, year and Euro class;
  • gearbox type and code (for example specific ZF or Mercedes gearbox families);
  • clutch diameter and type used on your vehicle.

If you are unsure which pressure plate you need, contact VRA Truckparts with your registration, VIN and any existing part numbers. Our team can help you cross-check the part against our stock or suggest alternatives in the wider Transmission & Drivetrain range.
