Used truck exhaust pipes, downpipes & flex pipes

Exhaust pipes on a heavy truck carry hot exhaust gases away from the engine and direct them through the silencer and aftertreatment system (DOC, DPF, SCR) before they exit to atmosphere. They include turbo downpipes, flex pipes and link pipes between different exhaust components. On Euro 5 and Euro 6 trucks these pipes have to cope with very high temperatures and loads, so correct routing and support are essential.

In this category we list used OEM truck exhaust pipes, downpipes, flex pipes and link pipes removed from late-model European lorries. Typical examples include turbo-to-silencer front pipes, flex bellows for DAF XF/CF Euro 6, front pipes for MAN TGX/TGS and intermediate pipes for Volvo and Mercedes tractors, all supplied with genuine part numbers and clear photos.

What you will find in the Exhaust Pipes category

Stock in the Exhaust Pipes category changes as we dismantle more vehicles, but typically includes:

  • turbo downpipes that connect the turbocharger outlet to the first exhaust section or aftertreatment module;
  • exhaust flex pipes / bellows that absorb vibration and thermal expansion between the engine and the fixed exhaust system;
  • intermediate link pipes between DOC, DPF, SCR and muffler sections;
  • front and rear silencer pipes for Euro 5–6 exhaust boxes on tractor units and rigids;
  • side and tail pipes that route exhaust to the final outlet position on the truck.

Each listing shows OEM numbers where available, donor vehicle information and detailed photos from several angles so you can compare bends, flanges, brackets and diameters with the pipe on your truck.

Truck brands & typical applications

Most exhaust pipes we stock come from popular European heavy trucks, including:

  • DAF XF and CF Euro 5–6;
  • MAN TGS and TGX tractors and rigids;
  • Volvo FH and FM Euro 5–6;
  • Mercedes-Benz Actros / Arocs and related models;
  • occasional stock for Scania and other makes.

Because parts are removed from complete donor vehicles, each exhaust pipe can usually be linked to a specific emissions level, chassis type and engine family.

How exhaust pipes & flex sections work

The exhaust pipe network has several important jobs:

  • to route exhaust gases away from the engine and cab safely;
  • to guide hot gases through the silencer and aftertreatment system in the correct order;
  • to maintain a smooth flow path with minimal backpressure for good engine performance;
  • to tolerate engine movement and vibration without cracking or stressing other components.

Flex pipes and bellows are usually included close to the engine to absorb vibration and linear movement as the exhaust system heats up and cools down. This reduces the risk of cracked manifolds, broken flanges and leaks in other sections of the exhaust.

Typical signs of exhaust pipe problems

Common symptoms that may point to a damaged or leaking exhaust pipe include:

  • visible soot deposits or black streaks around joints, flanges or flex sections;
  • louder exhaust noise than normal, especially under load or when accelerating;
  • exhaust smell near the cab or chassis where the system should be sealed;
  • rattling or knocking from loose or broken brackets and hangers;
  • fault codes related to emissions if the leak affects sensors or aftertreatment performance.

Left untreated, exhaust leaks can damage surrounding components, affect DPF regeneration, increase fuel consumption and create safety issues for drivers and workshop staff.

How to choose the correct exhaust pipe or flex section

To make sure you order the right pipe for your truck, always check:

  • OE or OEM part number stamped on the original pipe, label or in your parts catalogue;
  • truck brand, model, engine type and Euro class (for example DAF XF106 Euro 6, MAN TGX D26 Euro 6, Volvo FH4, Mercedes Actros MP4);
  • pipe position in the system – turbo downpipe, front pipe, intermediate pipe, tail pipe or flex section;
  • pipe diameter and length, including any flared or reduced ends;
  • bends and orientation – angle, direction and number of bends along the pipe;
  • flange and joint type – flat flange, V-band, slip joint or clamp connection;
  • brackets and hangers welded to the pipe and their mounting points on the chassis.

If you are unsure which pipe you need, you can contact us with your VIN or registration number and clear photos of the existing pipe and any markings. Our team can help you cross-check part numbers and identify a suitable replacement. For more information, see How to Find the Right Part and Compatibility & VIN Policy.

Used OEM exhaust pipes from dismantled trucks

Where possible, we run donor vehicles before dismantling to check for obvious exhaust leaks and abnormal noise. During removal, our technicians inspect each pipe for heavy corrosion, cracks, damaged flanges and crushed sections. Pipes that do not meet our standards are rejected; only usable OEM sections are cleaned, labelled and stored under cover in our warehouse.

Because we specialise in used OEM truck parts, you benefit from:

  • pipes with the correct routing and dimensions for your chassis and engine;
  • materials and wall thickness designed for heavy-duty commercial applications;
  • honest condition descriptions and photos of the exact pipe supplied.
